I believe we can use DATA for GOOD.

Traditional chemical engineering is a field of refining crude oil into valuable products including petrol and plastics. Now, I transform myself from a chemical engineer to a Data Scientist who refines raw data (new oil) into insights. If life is about connecting dots, I think I have been connecting two dots of chemical engineering and data science. With the fundamental knowledge (eg. statistics, algebra, and calculus) developed from chemical engineering, I am capable to understand the algorithms behind machine learning.

From engineering chemical processes to data processes, the journey likes the Age of Discovery. You never know what will you discover until you arrive in new territories. The fulfillment of exploring a new area and the disappointment of failures always take me to a new stage of my life.
